Letting go

I read the Bible because I was feeling sad. Whenever I am sad or needed wisdom, I will read either Psalms or Proverbs because they always give me peace.

 From my perspective, I spoke the truth and the truth will set you free John 8,32.

I randomly chose Proverbs 22 and see if it will speak to me about what has recently happened.

Proverbs 22
1 A good name is more desirable than great riches;
    to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.

2 Rich and poor have this in common:
    The Lord is the Maker of them all.

3 The prudent see danger and take refuge,
    but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.

4 Humility is the fear of the Lord;
    its wages are riches and honor and life.

5 In the paths of the wicked are snares and pitfalls,
    but those who would preserve their life stay far from them

Verse 3 speaks most to me and that is why I did what I did.

People may see a Food and Travel blog speaks about happiness but I can assure you everyone has their own ups and downs. In some of my food posts, I spoke about the sudden loss of my mom and subsequently losing my dad till the point that I couldn't recognize him anymore. I lost both of them. And I also battled with an unexplained physical ailment. I found solace in writing and whenever I have the inspiration, I can write for hours. My faith also sustained me. I believe that whatever happens to us on Earth are lessons preparing us for what is out there in eternity. For example, if u need to undergo huge depressive episodes, maybe in future, you are an angel in the counseling department. Of course, there is no science or logic to back it up but it's such a beautiful idea, enough to give us strength. Goodnight.
