Plank Sourdough Pizza, Baker & Cook cakes

Cozy . Fun . Hip. These words came to my mind when I stepped into Plank S Pizza. I am a fan of sourdough and that's why I already have a good feeling about this. The plus point of going to this rather secluded place in Namly is also because of the fact that it is connected to Baker & Cook. If you are craving for good quality pizzas and marvellous desserts - this is where you will have the best of both worlds.

The parma ham pizza was highly recommended by my friend, who has recently found her true love. I am happy for her because I told her that I could tell she is in love haha. She is a regular here. I had my reservations because parma ham could be very overpowering on its own. I love rockets so I decided to give it a go. When the pizza was served, the look of the pizza crust was enough to bring a spark to my eyes. Indeed, as I tucked into my pizza - the parma ham was a wonderful companion to its rockets and sourdough. Yums.

simple green salad with tomatoes, feta and vinaigrette dressing $6.50

I was brought up in the Health Education classroom whereby our meals should have food coming from the three food groups. I suggested ordering the only greens on the menu though my mates were not overly excited. The salad was fresh and I simply love salads with feta cheese.

The chorizo and eggplant pizza was a pizza staple - something safe and it delivered. If I were to only order one pizza, surprise surprise, I would choose the parma ham with rockets.

Plank crispy garlic bread $5.00

The crispy garlic bread was also highly recommended by my friend. The garlicky aroma was dancing in my mouth as I chomped on the crispy bread. It is reasonably priced so try it while waiting for your pizzas! After a satisfying meal, it was time to walk through that invisible door to Baker & Cook - a time to ogle and salivate at the trays and trays of pastries and cakes!

We chose one chocolaty cake and the other one, fruity. Both cakes were a thumbs up! The variety is great so for the next time, I would want to try their Carrot cake and Lemon Tart. The desserts nicely wrapped up a fun time of catching up with friends whom I have not seen for some time. A toast to love!
