Crave Nasi Lemak - Has it turned over a new leaf?

Crave is touted to be the original Adam Road Hawker Centre Selera Rasa, which is famous for its delicious Nasi Lemak. Check out my post on Selera Rasa. When Crave started popping up in mega shopping malls, many people were jumping for joy. We no longer had to go all the way to Adam and join in the 20 pax queue on weekends. The joy soon dissipated. It was nothing like the one served in Adam. The chicken lacked seasoning; the rice was hard, the egg was overcooked. I tried a few more times before giving it up.

Nasi Royale S$6.90
Recently, as I was walking past Crave at Junction 8. I noticed a change. The wings looked bigger and more golden. The eggs looked more appealing. I decided to give it a go and Food Pandered it! Guess what? It was DELICIOUS. Although by the time the food was pandered, it was not hot but the chicken was well seasoned, the fish was CRISPY, the rice was smelling great, the ikan billies were crispy, the sambal was right and most importantly, the yolk was still runny. It was still not as good as the one at Adam Road hawker centre but Crave would make a good choice to satisfy my Nasi Lemak craving at home, while watching my TV show.

Extra Chicken Wing
We food pandered a second time and it passed too! We even ordered an extra chicken wing. We also ordered an additional fish fillet which I am advising you not to do so because it was very dry. The Otah was delicious. Are you going to give Crave a second chance too? Has it turned over a new leaf?
